At M&F Tech Services, we provided expert site engineering and commissioning support for one of our customers, helping them successfully upgrade an existing silo system for their end client. By working closely with our customer, we ensured that every technical detail — from design to execution — was seamlessly handled, contributing to a reliable, safe, and efficient upgrade.
M&F Tech Services supported our customer throughout the entire upgrade process. We assisted with the development of the software Functional Design Specification (FDS) and facilitated effective communication with the automation partner to ensure proper system integration. Our team carefully reviewed the electrical schematics, supervised the fieldwork execution, and took full responsibility for commissioning the complete installation. With our hands-on expertise, we ensured the upgrade was delivered smoothly and according to all technical and operational requirements.
The upgraded silo was equipped with several important new features:
Air dryer to reduce moisture in both the product and the transport system, improving flow and product quality.
Weighing system to replace the old level sensor, providing precise weight measurements inside the silo.
Grounding device to safely ground trucks before and during filling, preventing the risk of static discharge and explosions.
Filling line valve to avoid overfilling, enhancing safety and operational control.
